As you all know, I talk about the site Maximum-X a lot. Me, along with some other book-lovers, will be hopefully creating a blog to review books.
I dunno about you guys, but I'm really excited.
More info will hopefully come soon.
Hey! I'm so proud of myself! I got a non-reader to read a book yesterday, and he loves it! (So, no, Anderson, not you. :D)
^^ That was a lot of exclamation points. (bleh.)
What else happene-- OH! I went to the optometrist yesterday about that eye-thing. I found out I have 20/15 vision (yay). If you want to hear the story of what happened to my "eye-thing", drop a line. It's a little gross...
Oh! I'm giving a presentation to my eighth grade class this month - I'm pumped, it's about alcohol. I just spent (over the last two days) about twelve hours at the McConnell Center. Well, I'm also going to a conference in Vermont, so we were working on that. (ASTERISK!)
That's all for today. I know, kinda dull. S'later!
Aha! Ahahaha! I found this video while looking for a song post.
What? It's a good message.
I try not to post multiple songs by an artist, but I wasn't feeling very inspired today.
Flight of the Conchords - Leggy Blonde (feat. Rhys Darby)
Listen to this one all the way through. It takes a few rounds, but it's pretty great.

1. Put your iTunes on shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS!

IF YOU COULD GO BACK IN TIME, WHAT WOULD YOU CHANGE?
I Slept with Someone in Fall Out Boy and All I Got Was This Stupid Song Written About Me - Fall Out Boy (self-explanatory)
WHAT HURTS RIGHT NOW?

WHAT WILL YOU POST THIS AS?

I thought it was pretty great.
I went to the Currier Museum of Art today (in Manchester), now that was a great time. They had a big exhibit featuring Andy Warhol, which was pretty cool. He did all the crazy-colored prints of soup can, US presidents, and Marylin Monroe.

Also at the museum was an exhibit by Kirsten Reynolds, who creates sculptures that looks like In-Progress construction disasters. That was seriously cool.
And check out this PSA I saw on TV. Why does it sound better when she says it than when I preach it?
Ohhhh, you thought you could get off without a song, right? Nice try.
Look at this insanity of a "hand-jig"!

I'm only writing a post because I have a song to attach
Hey there everyone. I think it's Saturday... I haven't really been paying attention.
So, I was supposed to go shopping today, but I was feeling pretty bleh. I made up for it by using my, like, four Amazon gift cards. I pre-ordered four books (yay).
Yes, pre-ordering books does make me excited.
Umm, I just burned Anderson a billion Cds. If anybody want something, just holla.
Let's see, is there anything else to say? I'll probably post again later today.
Shit! I can't put the embedded video code on here. You just have to do it old school:

Boxing Day
Man, I wish I lived in Europe.
So, I guess today requires the mandatory "Oh My Gosh it's the 26th I got a cell phone and a Mercedes and Hollister clothes and another car and...." blog post.
Sorry, this is how I'm feeling that the posts today are going. Or people are moaning on about how their life sucks.
Guess what? This is the internet - I DON'T HAVE TO CARE.
If we were face-to-face, I would have to pretend to be sympathetic (bleh).
So, I had Christmas yesterday, and it was pretty good.
I got a new mp3 player. I told my parents I didn't want one, but my old one had a crushed screen.
I also now had a camera. Problem? I'm super-tempted to take racy internet photos (on MyPage I have two of the, like, 60 pictures I took).
All I wanted was clothes and music, not all this technological stuff. Urg, I sound like a whiny bench. (<-- Don't you love that edit? I invented it over the summer. I'm uber-proud of myself)
*le sigh*
Now I have to go write ThankYou notes. Mmhmm, not emails, people. Actual pen to paper.
Can I tell you something that made me really sad about half an hour ago? I force-fed myself ice cream, because the bowl I saved wouldn't fit in the freezer. It was delicious, though...
I have a question for you guys out there - is there a difference between "burning" and "ripping" a CD? Is ripping when you save it, and burning when you copy it? ...This isn't relevant to anything. Not that this blog post actually has a purpose. I'm just typing my brilliant thoughts.
So, New Year's is coming up. I actually like that holiday more than Christmas (I'm not sure why though). Maybe because I get to pop the cork of a bottle of sparkling apple juice. That and balls will be dropping in Times Square.
Sorry, I couldn't resist.
So, happy holidays to everyone! Jewish awesome people, have fun with the rest of Hannukah. See you all in oh-nine!

I added some other links in the "Meander" section on the sidebar.
One I'm about to add right now is the artPad. This thing is pretty great.
Finding a new song for every post is a lot of work!

Fan Art!
This isn't my masterpiece - A friend of mine drew it. Isn't it friggin' amazing?

...She really likes Robert Pattinson.
So, yay! We're on winter break! Our last day of school was yesterday (23rd), but I really didn't do anything. Here's how my school day went:
Period 1: Did imaginary numbers and coloring (Algebra 2)
Period 2: Took a test, not really difficult (Social Studies)
Period 3: Did a lab to test hand dexterity (Science)
Periods 4, 5, and 6: I delivered candy-canes to all the lunch periods (I skipped Lunch, Health and Language Arts)
Period 7 and 8: I helped the above friend start a mural she is painting in a 6th grade SS room (Study Hall and World Language)
So, yeah. A bit of a nothing day.
This is my current FavoriteSong: (this is the official video, but since I never watch music videos, it might be a weird one)
Arctic Monkeys - "Fluorescent Adolescent"

Gotta Love Facebook
The Rules:
1. Pick 15 or 20 of your favorite movies.
2. Go to IMDb* and find a quote from each movie. (internetmoviedatabase or http://www.imdb.com/)
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it and the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb search functions. That's cheating. Try to post answers you think in one comment.
7. For best way to go quote to quote w/o seeing the other answers, grab a piece of paper and pen and write down numbers 1-20 and jot down the answer and post comment at once in the end. (even if someone had the answer put it down)
6. Have FUN!
____________________________________________________________________________
1. "What are we gonna do next, short-sheet the Pope's bed?"
2. "It's not a question of where he grips it! It's a simple question of weight ratios! A five ounce bird could not carry a one pound coconut."
3. "What's with all the closed captioning? I'm not mute! And GED? What does drunk driving have to do with school?"
4. "Oh, the cleverness of me."
5. "No, it-it's a good book, Your friends will love it. You know, it's got mazes in it and, you know, little coloring areas, sections, pop-up pictures. It's... a lot of fun."
6. "I'm sorry about your house - your wife... your... house-wife."
7. "Can we skip the cinematic foreplay? I wanna fuuuuuuuuck."
8. "See here: "Every Good Boy Does Fine" on the lines. And "F-A-C-E" in between. And "Great Big Dogs Fight Animals". And "All Cars Eat Gas". Get it?"
9. "P.I Staker? Right! "Piss Taker!" Come on!"
10. "Dude, I can't take you seriously in that hat."
11. "Why should Caesar get to stomp around like a giant, while the rest of us try not to get smushed under his big feet? What's so great about Caesar? Hm? Brutus is just as cute as Caesar. Brutus is just as smart as Caesar. People totally like Brutus just as much as they like Caesar. And when did it become okay for one person to be the boss of everybody, huh? Because that's not what Rome is about. We should totally just *STAB* Caesar!"
12. " Sup Arizona? How you likin' the rain, girl?"
13. "And where were you, photographing squirrels? You're fired!"
14. "I killed a man... with this thumb."
15. "A cupcake... In a cup!"
16. "You know what the problem with this country is, though? Every good-looking guy is either gay or married. Except for *you*, but you're too young."
17. "Beef, yes. Roast beef. It's the Swedish term for beef that is roasted!"

Ohhh how it's been so long, we're so sorry we've been gone, we were busy writing songs for - YOU
Sorry to go all Panic! on you, but that was the only thing that popped into my head as a title.
Wow, I haven't written an actual post in about ten years.
Today is my third snow-day in two weeks!
Last Thursday (12/15) , there was a MAJOR ice-storm. Like, half of New Hampshire lost power. Well, technically, only like 400,000 homes and businesses...
Anyway, so we didn't have school on Friday, Monday, or today(Wednesday). We went yesterday, and was one of the only districts to have school (lame).
I'm actually a little sad that there's a snow day. Today, my team was going down to Boston to the theatre, and I was ALL excited.
Let me note that this was the same trip that got canceled on us last year. *big frowny face*
Luckily, I didn't lose power this weekend. Only the cable/internet/phone. I actually had to go to the library to do research! I felt so old-school.
I really did feel bad for the people who lost power. Their houses were all a high of 30 degrees. Everyone was in SurvivalMode. (e.g., gas station ran out of gasoline, supermarket shelves were picked clean, etc.) It freaked me out a little bit.
On the plus side, I spent first period discussing amusing stories of the storm. Here are a few:
1. My teacher wanted coffee so badly that she tried to boil water on their grill. And that was one of her better plans.
2. A student's grandmother was freaking out, running around yelling about trying to find her cats a hotel room.
3. A student's neighbor's family tried to keep themselves warm with a turkey cooker. At least they were responsible - they kept the front door open as to not get carbon minoxide poisoning. Why don't you reread that one again.
4. A student's family was bored and without power, so they hooked up the car to their tv so they could watch a movie
I love our math class ^^
On the plus side of things, guess what I managed to do?
It's a chef! --> C:=3
Did you really think you could get away without another song?

Quote
I found this on a fellow fanfictioner's profile.
(tee-hee)
"I understand that Scissors can beat Paper, and I get how Rock can beat Scissors, but there's no fucking way Paper can beat Rock. Paper is supposed to magically wrap around Rock leaving it immobile? Why the hell can't paper do this to scissors? Screw scissors, why can't paper do this to people? Why aren't sheets of college ruled notebook paper constantly suffocating student as they attempt to take notes in class? I'll tell you why, because paper can't beat anybody, a rock would tear that shit up in 2 seconds. When I play rock/ paper/ scissors, I always choose rock. Then when somebody claims to have beaten me with their paper I can punch them in the face with my already clenched fist and say, oh shit, I'm sorry, I thought paper would protect you, you asshole."
Jeez, that sounds like M.A. from Gravity Brings You Down.
You better thank me, M.A., I just gave you free advertising.

URG!
I really hate how my blog is becoming a place where I dump web videos.
But this one is great.
Brownie points if you know who this guy is!

Go Maximum-X!
Okay guys, I just found the funniest video on Maximum-X.com. I mean, I LOVED Twilight as much as the next person, but this was HYSTERICAL.
PS - All you Maximum Ride fans out there, go to Maximum-X.com
It's crazy insanity.

TShirt back
If you guys needed any clarification on what my list was, here it is.
Top Reasons Why (10) JACOB BLACK Uber-Beats Edward
10. Real men don't sparkle
9. I like my men with a pulse
8. I prefer space-heaters
7. I prefer men with personality
6. "Edward is a Hufflepuff"
5. Once you go BLACK you never go back
4. Because Edward "sucks"
3. "the hotter the better"
2. 108.9 oF is the magic number
1. Edward is a Mary-Sue
I had to put number 3 in quotations, because my mom was not thrilled when she saw I put, " (Jake can be my lapdog) " on the front.

Twilight at Midnight
I saw the midnight premiere of Twilight! Squeal! And the cool thing was, since I live on the East coast, and I was in the 12:01 theatre, I was one of the first to see it in the world! I was in the second row, but it was still uberly-amazing! When the cast was assigned, I had my doubts, but they really pulled through! It was hysterical, because all us crazy fangirls were shrieking at certain parts, and laughing at inside jokes from the books. I WOULD DEFINITELY SEE IT AGAIN.
Here's my Team Jacob shirt I made.

And I made the button - it says:

A minor setback.

Things to Ponder ...Or Not.
* A kid in my science class asked this question today:
"If you had a solid block of helium, would it float away?"
Okay, I know this kid was serious, but it was funnier a month ago when the first person asked.
* I was walking from the high school to my middle school (it's about 200 yards) when my hands started to get really cold. So I tried to put them in my pockets. But there were no pockets. Oh My Carlisle, why make a zip-up hoodie if it's not going to have pockets? Come on guys, I'm talking November in New Hampshire.
* I've started writing all my dates in French. Why? Because the first fifteen days of World Language go to French (then to Spanish, and Latin). And 'cuz it's fun:
" mardi, 18, novembre "
Did you guys now that European calenders traditionally start on Monday instead of Sunday? Crazy.
*Hey there, if you're my science teacher, and you're reading this: the Flute is a woodwind!
(A/N: there was a mishap during a quiz game, where my teacher didn't consider the flute to be a woodwind, and my band-nerd flipped out. "DON'T you insult my section!" and on and on. It was hilarious. I was scorekeeper, and had to deduct half their points for Misconduct. That left them with a final score of 1/2.)(PS, she doesn't even [officially] play the Flute - Alto Sax is her instrument.)
* I found this fabulous trailer - I totally want to see this movie!
That's all for now. My next post will include my "Team Jacob" outfit for the Twilight movie. (Midnight Premiere! Score!)

New Rap Song Alert!
Okay, not new, but this song is totally stuck in my head.
And I want it stuck in yours too! =D
I really love the lyrics, and how they don't rhyme but still manage to sound awesome.

Hello, all my Facebook buddies!
Like I said, this is in the toddler process. I'm working towards updating this blog everyday.
If any of you have a blogger account, message me! Tell me what I need to improve (font size, gadgets, etc).
Thanks again for stopping by!
...If you're wondering about the name, drop a line to Megan Anderson on Facebook. She can tell you.

Hey, wow. I've been gone for about ten years.
Hey there! I'm here to tell you all about Urtak! This web site is now officially in my bookmarks, which is somewhat of a prestigious honor. Urtak is SERIOUSLY addicting.
Hmmm, what else is new?
~ I was on Neopets the other day. Talk about nostalgia.
~ On Saturday I went with two of the other StudentCouncil officers with three teachers to drop off food-drive items. We ran the drive in our school for only a week, and we got over 2000 items! And the president and I went on the radio for it!
~ Neccos are delicious.
~ I'm officially obsessed with "House, MD." It's unhealthy.
~ I lost my mp3 player. *giant frowny face*! I think the dog ate it.
~ I was Super-Procrastinator for Halloween! (You are never too old to Trick-or-Treat.)
~ I finally watched Meet the Robinsons yesterday! Wilbur+Me= True love fo-eva!
Well, I seem to have officially used up my stolk of exclamation points. 'Till next time, S'later!

Greet me!
Hey there, I finally got a blog! Livejournal doesn't count for anything.
So, welcome. You came to my blog, where you can hear a sidekick's side of life. Mucho complaining and language failure to come.
Duex - Comment! Even if you think I'm lame! Or annoying! Tell your friends how lame and annoying I am!
Tres - I really don't have a third comment. I just wanted to say three in French.
I totally was dork enough to buy a discounted "FrenchGuaranteed" audio set. It was totally worth all seven-dollars-minus-twenty-percent.
See? The rambling has already begun.
S'later. I'll be back to update soon. I hope. Algebra awaits.
